Derksen.app Privacy Policy
Derksen IT B.V. (“Derksen.app”, “we”, “our”, or “us”) publishes a collection of small games and companion tools. This privacy policy applies to every one of those products—across Android, iOS, and web builds—whether they are available today or will launch in the future.
Covered apps
The policy covers all products referenced on this site. When a new app launches, it automatically inherits this policy unless a product-specific addendum is clearly linked next to its download information.
Information we collect
We design every Derksen.app release to operate with minimal personal data. Depending on the exact feature set of a given app, we may process:
- On-device saves: Gameplay progress, settings, and preferences are stored locally on your device. We do not receive this data unless you manually share it with us for support.
- Advertising identifiers: Some apps use Google AdMob to display ads. Google may collect identifiers (such as the Advertising ID), device information, and approximate location to provide, measure, and control ads.
- Analytics or diagnostics: When enabled, Firebase services record aggregated performance metrics (app opens, crash traces, basic device info). We use these metrics to keep the apps stable and understand feature usage.
- Custom level uploads (Echo Beam): With your in-app consent, Echo Beam uploads the custom levels you finish along with a random, anonymous owner ID. This ID prevents you from downloading your own submissions while allowing future releases to share levels between players.
If a specific app needs additional data beyond the categories above, the requirement will be described inside that app or its release notes.
How we use information
- Deliver core gameplay and keep your local progress in sync between sessions.
- Display banner ads or other monetization that keeps our free apps sustainable.
- Diagnose crashes, secure our services, and plan usability improvements.
Information sharing
We never sell your personal information. Derksen.app shares data only in these limited scenarios:
- Service providers: Advertising and analytics partners (e.g., Google AdMob, Firebase) process data on our behalf to deliver ads or aggregated insights.
- Legal requirements: We may disclose information if compelled by law, regulation, or valid legal process.
- Protection of rights: We may share information to investigate abuse, enforce our policies, or protect players from fraud and security threats.
Your choices and controls
- Use the in-app privacy options (for example, Google’s User Messaging Platform dialog) to manage ad consent in supported regions.
- Reset or limit advertising identifiers through your device settings (Android: “Reset advertising ID”; iOS: “Allow Apps to Request to Track”).
- Opt out of Google ad personalization at google.com/settings/ads.
- Delete or reinstall the app to clear local saves from your device.
- Within Echo Beam you can accept or decline the custom level upload prompt at any time, and reset that choice in the Settings screen if you change your mind.
Children’s privacy
Our apps are intended for players aged 13 and older. We do not knowingly collect personal data from children under 13. If you believe a child provided personal information, contact us so we can delete it.
International data transfers
Third-party services supporting Derksen.app may operate servers outside your country. We work with vendors that implement safeguards consistent with applicable privacy laws such as the GDPR and CCPA.
Policy updates
We may revise this policy to reflect new apps, new features, or legal requirements. When we make material changes, we will update the “Last updated” date above and highlight the update within the relevant app or on this page.
